Thank you. Can you explain how that works with other law enforcement? For instance, does the sheriff have the power to arrest a city chief of police?
Anyone can arrest a criminal for criminal behavior. But if an investigation is underway and both the city police chief and the sheriff are there, the sheriff can take the lead on the investigation over the objections of the police chief. The chief can't do that.
