Parents need to start bringing the sherriff to the school board meetings. You can always pit a sherriff against state or city police and watch the fireworks.
Can you explain more about that? My understanding is that the local sheriff has a lot more power than most people realize. If you have greater knowledge about this, I'm sure a lot of people here would appreciate learning.
Wrong. The Sheriff reports to the people first. The Governor can enlist their help, but the Sheriff can tell the Governor to fuck off.
Happens plenty often in Ohio.
Coroner can arrest the sheriff
Wait, seriously!?
Or the governor, for that matter. Thanks.
The county sheriff is the highest-level law enforcement officer directly elected by the people, and as such is the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the country.
But those positions have been corrupted too. Ruby Ridge Fbi agent turned sheriff in San Diego. POS
Thank you. Can you explain how that works with other law enforcement? For instance, does the sheriff have the power to arrest a city chief of police?
Anyone can arrest a criminal for criminal behavior. But if an investigation is underway and both the city police chief and the sheriff are there, the sheriff can take the lead on the investigation over the objections of the police chief. The chief can't do that.
Sheriffs are elected. Cops are hirelings.
Yes, but it's more than that. A lot of people are elected (supposedly) but they don't do what they're supposed to, nor do they have the power that a sheriff does.
Nah. People need to start showing up in masse(500+) with their ARs and politely tell those fucking traitor cops this can be a 1st amendment thing or 2nd amendment thing... their choice.
Better to have 100 phones recording everything and come to the podium with a well respected attorney to speak first and introduce the parent. Speaking first he puts the cops and board members on notice that at this public meeting, the public in the person of his client will speak and freely exercise her first amendment right. Any attempt to silence her will be met with a lawsuit.
When you control the judges you don't care about lawsuits. I respect what your saying but I think we are past those types of tactics. I'm not saying go full 1776, but its time to actually stand up to these people. Sometimes just having a gun proves your point. We have strength in numbers. We need to use it.
If enough people file lawsuits, then it doesn't matter if the judges are controlled. Taking a page from the leftist handbook, it's the process that is the punishment not the judgement or the award.
I understand your point.
Plenty has already been recorded. They don't care.
Because threatening police always works out. A better option would be to start chanting "black Lives Matter!"
Then they'll Patriot Act the heck out of you
You seriously think they are going to try and arrest 500+ people holding ARs? Kek! Why is it everyone ignores that we outnumber them 10 v 1?
I'm going to site a specific example. In WA or OR I'm honestly not sure which... the legislature was going to pass a crazy new tax bill like 2-3 years ago. This bill was designed so it taxed rural people more than city people. The conservative rural folks got wind of this and like 2,000 (maybe less) of them went to the state capital on like a Tuesday. Everyone else was at work and the shit-bag leftist legislature thought they could just sneak this law onto the books.
You'd have to look for the videos. A dozen people streamed this. I watched it live as it happened. It boiled down to this. Like 300-500 people stormed the building. They were NOT armed. Over to one side about 50 yards from the door near a flag poll were maybe 100-300 guys all in full tactical gear with extra mags, pistols, ARs, a few had sniper rifles, etc. The people with guns didn't approach the building, but they just stood there making 100% sure the people without guns could express their 1st amendment rights.
So inside the building there was a lot of shoving and yelling etc. Maybe 50 police were holding back a large crowd. I think like 3 people ended up arrested total. BUT out side was like 200 cops 3-4 blocks away hiding behind their bearcats FREAKING THE HELL OUT. See they couldn't storm trooper the crowd, teargas them, and beat the fuck out of them like they wanted to. Why? Because there was 200+ guys standing there with ARs ready to blast the fuck out of them when they went full jack boot thug.
This was big news locally. If the police started a firefight with those guys 10,000 people would have come from all over the state and blasted the fuck out of the police. They knew they'd stirred up a hornets nest. I'm pretty sure they canceled the voting for the day and snuck out the back etc.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement_in_the_United_States#Police_population
"In 2019, the FBI estimated that approximately 1,003,270 law enforcement were employed nationwide and distributed across more than 13,250 agencies. Of those, 697,195 were sworn officers, with 306,075 civilian employees."
700k ready to fight soldiers. Let's assume full cooperation. Figure a million in a pinch. Even if you remove older people and all the liberals there are at a MINIMUM 20-30 million people in the USA that are armed and willing to use their weapons to defend their rights. You seriously think with 20 v 1 odds the police stand a snowballs chance in hell?
The patriot act is a bunch of bullshit words on a piece of paper. Tens of thousands of citizen with their rifles in hand trumps that any and every time. They can't put all of us in jail. Stop fearing their BS and fight back.
To be clear I'm not saying attack them or break the law. I'm saying as they did in my example... it was an open carry state. They simply stood around and chit chatted with each other for a few hours. Not a single shot fired. They got their message across though.
Guns are tools. You don't have to fire it to use it. Just having it with you often is more than enough. That's why they want to take them away from us.
Fucking well said.
