When people tell you who they are, we should believe them. So many people have told us for generations, in plain words, exactly their plans for us and we just laughed and laughed or ignored them because we were thinking they were joking. They were not. It is why we are where we are right this very moment.
Except that people lie. A lot. I've come to the conclusion that people are rarely honest about who they are. They may let some truths slip here and there but it's not done intentionally.
