New ape with small xx. What is the essence of this online vote, and what should I vote for?

Hello Q-Ape... essentially you would want to vote "FOR" all items... assuming you want the MOASS to happen. If you'd prefer HJ's behind the 7-11, you could vote against everything.
The Board? "FOR" - Why? They helped get us where we are.
The items below? "FOR" - Why? Establishes incentive (dividend), Deloitte accounting contract, and most importantly the increase of shares available to initiate the stock split.
Why does the stock split matter? Well, two reasons:
When any stock splits, all outstanding options/calls/puts/shorts/etc. need to be liquidated - it essentially forces all of the hedge funds to settle their balance, and should* expose tons of synthetics, triggering the MOASS
If for some reason this doesn't immediately trigger MOASS and the hedgies play kick the can post-split (though I don't know how they could), the share prices are reduced significantly in tandem with the split while your aggregate value remains the same (7x your shares = 7x less per share, same cost basis), allowing a major anti-FOMO sale to occur, making the pressure on the corrupt Wall St. cronies/hedgies significantly worse.

Thank you. I just received my voting I formation. I switched from TD A to the direct shares? (Compushare) I don’t know. I guess I have a vote though. I’m not 5 shares but hoping moon status. Love all of you Pede’s. YBYSAIA

Very interesting history - thank you. Our grandfathers (and many fathers) accomplished so much more than us in their early 20's. D-Day history blows me away.
Oh good! The share # doesn't matter much, glad you are DRS'ed in Computershare. You most certainly have a vote!
OP: Just voted YES on all ten questions via online vote with TDA. Thanks ObviousStatementMan for the input. I have 1.2576 shares at CS (WTF can't you buy a SINGLE SHARE???) and the others TDA. DRS'ing to CS this week.
If you bought shares directly from CS to open your account, that would explain the fractional share. Let's say you opened the account by purchasing a single share for $153 [just a guess]. By the time it closed and CS paid for the share, maybe it was now only worth $127... now that same amount of money is worth 1.2576 shares vs. the originally intended "1 share".
So if you pay for GME and your position doesn't close just prior to the MOASS, your $153 would be worth 0.00000000000023 shares post-MOASS.
Thx. That was my plan: Open an account by buying 1 share. Weird why they can't/don't facilitate that. Called them and no clear answer. Just "we don't do that".
Yeah. They are actually buying a share in your legal name. Not floating you an insta-share that's ultimately in the broker's ownership.
When is the vote?
Depends on your broker. If you are following along closely and DRS'ed with ComputerShare; you should have already received an email or a letter. If not? Login, you can vote now in advance of 6/2 meeting.
Other brokers: Fidelity/eTrade/etc. are likely emailing soon.
90% of mine are DRS in CS, voted on that over a week ago. 10% still w/ broker, just got my email tonight.
In any event you should be able to login and vote. Unless you're with some shady ass broker like eToro or Robinhood, then you probably won't get to vote because they are loaning your shares out and laughing every day.
Good to know, ty
Vanguard and E*Trade emailed this evening, nothing from Fidelity yet.
To ObviousStatementMan : XLNT explanation and major thanks. Allow me to shake your hand with my opposable thumbs. BTW never heard of HJ's behind the 7-11. Free with Slurpy? I prefer MOASS in my account - not my pants.
Word. Hat tip to you good sir. See you on the other side.
(still laughing)
Thank you very much.
I was wondering about what the OP asked too.
