If eminent domain didn't exist and the framework of the propaganda
engine weren't balls to the wall, I'd agree.
But they can take your land for reasons, and the propagandists will frame it like "the evil alt right conservatives had land taken from them so it could be given to Bill Gates for more farm land / More section 8 housing! Here's why this is good for the country!"
It's MUCH easier to take gold and silver than land.
In order to take your gold and silver, they need a few men to sneak inside your house at night.
In order to take land, they need an army. And even then, we know how well highly disciplined and well equipped armies do against guerrilas.
If you think you can protect your gold and silver better than you can protect land, have at it.
Good luck eating your gold and silver though. Meanwhile, I have a herd of cows, acres of gardens, fruit trees, and plenty of space to practice my aim. And the government will never know what I am doing in my workshop.
The best part is all my neighbors are in the same boat as me. If they seize my land, they are next, and they all know it. But I am sure your stacks of gold and silver will inspire the same kind of loyalty from your neighbors. I mean, historically, the way nobility has inspired the peasants to fight was by saying, "We need to protect my gold!" right?
Exactly. Historically, landowners always win. Those who keep their assets in currency or gold end up losing.
lol.

And people would eat that shit up.

So give up your land even before you own it? Great idea.
Enjoy servitude.
