Easy fix,stop reporting the deaths of the criminals you kill.
If you have good aim and a shovel, you don't need to call anyone ;)
If you live in a remote area, and someone broke into your place and killed them, and you did bury them, who would even think to come look for them at your place, other than the criminal's accomplices/associates. I don't think they are going to go to the police and say, "Hey, our buddy went out to rob that house and never came back. Can you go check that out for us?"
I'm just expanding on "polish_snausage"s post, which, although could make some kind of sense, it's not something I would likely do.
