What am I missing here in terms of confirmation?
An anon on GAW posted the 4 chan link to a post from 4 years ago and shortly after elon tweeted with a message that echoes the message of the post on GAW.
A bit of a stretch, but that's what I got out of it.
Yeah - I think the 4Chan from 2018 was posted yesterday on GAW.
It's definitely an interesting coinky-dink from Elon.
The 4chan post was from 2018. The date is in the screenshot.
Yes, I know that. But it was reposted yesterday. Should have made that clearer so I edited.
doubt
Elon,...If you are here give a doot!
Especially if you are hanging out here, trying to avoid AOC flirting with you.
Elon lurking here? 😂🤣😂

Here is a bookmarklet to show the real times on GAW:
javascript:(function(){ const collection=document.getElementsByClassName('timeago'); for(i=0;i<collection.length;i++) { console.warn(collection[i]); collection[i].innerHTML=""; collection[i].nextSibling.textContent=" "+collection[i].title+" "; } })();
Maybe I do. Maybe I don't.
Maybe I'm him. Maybe I'm not.
This post makes it pretty clear that the reddit style of relative time stamping, rather than absolute time stamping, is improper for this board. "14 hours ago" makes no sense except at the time of posting.
The exact timestamps are available here if you hover over the "X ago." Or, I made a bookmarklet to display them all the time and allow them to be copied. See my other post in this thread. The 14 hours is reasonable if the screenshot is on eastern time.
The post was made roughly at midnight. OP posted 4 hours ago (1718EST) that the post was 14 hours old putting it at ~ midnight (just before) IAW EST time zone. Elon posts at ~noon today 5/3/22, whether that's anywhere in the US, Elon posted after OP within 12 hours.
The stretch of it, is that this is a fairly understood point, Twitter affecting public opinion.
Yeah the claim is a bit of a stretch, if Musk had posted while that post was on the front page then it'd be more plausible. But that's not exactly my point. Even if it was within 15 minutes of the original post, you can't tell by the image alone, you have to do the math to figure it out. Not ideal.
