Prohibition created the Mob, and the effects are felt a century later.
This may do worse.
I came to a similar conclusion, but would actually have to do a deep dive on prostitution and pornography and its legality and crime statistics in other countries for both prohibited and allowed. I would think the sex trafficking and black market would obviously grow, by what order of magnitude is the question.
The stuff he's advocating for as far as child porn/rape/snuff/sex slaves/etc are already illegal. He's claiming some weird stuff, while the world is leaving him behind with bullshit like OnlyFans which I may not agree with, but do not advocate for banning. If someone wants to willingly shove objects up their cooch/ass for money I'm fine with it, so long as the medical bill doesn't get passed down to me as a taxpayer and as long as there's some gating in place to where it's not in public/plain sight and must be sought out.
I think it is a small fish to fry in comparison to the opiate epidemic and other issues that lead to degeneracy and deviancy and think an iron hand on it will just create more problems than an actual impactful thought out solution.
Thinks he can kill Satan with legislation, "world's oldest profession"
Because evil people do evil things when exposed, we should allow it? I'm not following this logic. Prohibition not only created the mob, but it was also against the Bible as well. It was an overreach of government authority.
This then leads to the discussion of weed with a lot people, claiming the same. I guess I could be convinced of legalizing weed, but I'm currently against it, because as far as I understand it, most people wanting to legalize it want to get high AF. I think that is also a problem. "Wine was made to make the heart glad", but also, be "sober minded"
Can you drink and be sober minded? Yes, From what I've seen, most people do this. Yes, many abuse it.
Can you smoke weed and be sober minded? Yes, but from what I've seen, most want to get high, few people would smoke weed but remain sober.
This is my concern about legalizing weed. Society will turn into "Idiocracy" the movie. If you're unfamiliar, I'd make it a high priority to watch that. That is America + degenerate behavior multiplied. It shows where we are headed if things don't change. The great awakening is an opportunity to actually fix the USA, not just prolong its death by a few decades. My only problem with the movie, is that they went to far in the future. It's coming faster than 500 years.
"It was an overreach of government authority."
"Ban porn."
Even we have dumb people who advocate for tyranny they want while attacking tyranny they don't. Two sides of the same coin.
Several posts claim prohibition created the mob, for those of you who are of this thought, you have no idea of what you are speaking about. They should delve into history, crime has been with humanity well before prohibition. Not that I condone porn, but to insinuate that looking at church for mates, I will only point you to the current status of the Catholic Church.
Most people posting have not lived through the 50’s, 60’s and so on. Who created our current situation, politicians who have destroyed the family structure, forced mothers to go out and work. That is where it started in the early 70’s, divorce was made easy. For those of you who were not around in the 70’s, it started the me generation, remember the song “I got to be me”.
If everyone would take a step back in history, you will see why these young kids are the way they are. Parents giving them what they want, so they don’’t have to be bothered. Being realistic with their kids, making them work for what they give them. I was always taught to earn what you make, there are no “free lunches in America”, something I passed along to our kids.
This is just my two cents!
