Yes, my machine has powered on and connected to the internet by itself. Every time the power comes on. Start up with AC power On enabled.
Yes. Every time I try to shutdown windows 10 and it trys to update, I hit the mains power and cycle it.
VPNs have a very specific purpose and protecting your identity is not it. That’s just what’s sold to you.
Yes we used to scan IP blocks. Usually looking for hotline servers. Okay that was twenty years ago.

Again, I already know ALL this, don't 'rely on' or even USE a VPN normally because of it. It DOES keep the iP from the snoop, but the VPN knows it.
