I remember the first snowfall in Ohio, 3 am in the morning playing in the front yard trying to collect enough snow for a snowman, with the neighbors peeking out the windows in disbelief and disgust for those poor stupid southern fools, US.
Why Why Why would you live in the insane asylum?
It can be a fun place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
Have you been a Philly Bee all your life?
I've seen some beautiful country in western Philly.
Yes, I have been here my whole life. I bought a house next door to my parents.. They made me afraid of the world but it was really them I feared most. My journey has been long and difficult.
I do have a craving to leave this area but my children are grown and I don't want to leave them. I feel like this is their time now and I've already stolen so much from them, fighting with my family or vice versa.
Pennsylvania is beautiful though. I only wish I had a woods to myself. Instead I walk down the river. I do love the history of this area and hope it can redeem itself.
It sounds to me that you are the rarest of rare, a battle scarred warrior with a soul still in tack.
Most with the will to fight back get consumed by the struggles, and what remains is a shattered, tattered fragment of a tainted soul lost in guilt and confusion.
While it's so cliché to say, it's the time in the furnace that tempers the steel of ones resolve. Most over look the twisted and warped souls that never make it to the finishing forge of form.
But those who do, those rare and precious few, are gifted with a eternal spring of courage and conviction that serves them endlessly in the pursue of truth and justice.
When ever I'm compelled to to seek the guidance of God, I often find him in nature, in the canvases of his creations, unspoiled by the hand of man. Whether it be rivers or woods, hollows or mountains it revitalizes and reminds me of what we fight for :-)
Good morning,
No, I live in central Alabama now. Original from south Louisiana but I was born under a wandering star.
What are your winters like in Alabama?
Mild and short.

Oh Brave Warrior
My bad, I guess Penn. and Philly are NOT interchangeably, please do forgive the error of my ways, I promise never again. :-)
