You are correct. When I first met my brilliant husband 45 years ago he told me that 85% of the North American population has a hillbilly mentality. I now think it’s closer to 90%. He was right and his advice has served me well.
Damn, girl. It's us hillbillies who been stocking up our 2A goodies and preparing to live through hell while all the rest of the country was dozing during the Bush years. The Necks That Are Reddened stand prepared. I grow my own food and I've got a still. What are you eating when the Cabal comes round offering your starving family horse jerky in exchange for your family's babies?
Please refer to Hank Jr.'s "Country Boy Can Survive" for more information.
I apologize profusely. This was told to me 45 years ago. Things have changed, up is down and down is up. I would be proud to call myself a hillbilly. We are well armed, son is a gunsmith, family grows our own food and the pantry is well stocked. I would take a bullet to defend our freedoms.
The depth and breath of the wokism within that 85% is mind-boggling.
So many intelligent, "decent" people - many of whom consider themselves to be socially and politically astute AND active - are so terribly lost to it that it seems that not only can they NOT see the light, they truly don't WANT to see the light because they've been so horribly brainwashed that they've come to believe that any other (non-woke) perspective is THE evil that must be eradicated.
Unfortunately, they are the majority. My husband of 42 years, a brilliant trial lawyer, now retired, used to tell me that the most important thing in his life was our freedoms. He must have bumped his head when I wasn’t looking because now he is 150% woke and I’m the complete opposite. Although I love him dearly I see him differently and I have never been so disappointed in him. Our rule is now we can never discuss important political issues. It’s something I have to accept but it doesn’t mean I have to like it. Literally soul crushing. Oh, and the worst part is he’s the one who warned me to stay away from the 85%.

Heck, I give hillbillies more credit than most of the shallow, star struck population types.
I agree. Poor choice of word on my part. I should have said 85% of the population has a “woke” mentality. Please forgive me.
Just saw this thread.
