I knew a man that got 4 DWI's in less than 30 days. He had already has several over the prior years. He got the 4 in different counties. He had a high dollar attorney. He walked away from all 4. That is back when a 3rd offense was a mandatory 10 years in jail.
Justice and extra punishment is only for us regular people.
I met a guy recently who turned out to be a lawyer. Social situation.
He is a DUI lawyer. Said he has a client on his 5th or 6th DUI.
He was bragging that he talked to the prosecutor, the prosecutor offered a "good deal" considering the situation.
Lawyer said to the prosecutor, "We will take that -- but just give me a couple of months to drag it out, so I can justify the $15,000 he is paying me."
Sounds kinda funny in a dark way, but that is EXACTLY what they are taught in today's law schools.
They are taught that there is no right or wrong, no good or bad, no truth or falsehood. Only what you can argue to win your case, no matter which side you are "representing."
"If you were representing the prosecution/plaintiff, how would you argue? OK, now if you were representing the defense, how would you argue?"
No evaluation of what is right or wrong. And no consideration for what is constitutional or not -- what government does NOT have the authority to do is ignored.
Did everyone notice that in the past 2 years that 99.99% of all attorneys in the USA said NOTHING about the criminal acts of the politicians and bureaucrats? Forget about filing lawsuits to stop the madness, they didn't even SAY shit.
Criminals are called lawyers and they love to hide their crimes by whining to a criminal in a black dress.
Lawyers are some of the best liars you will ever meet
Hear, hear!
Here, here!

Fucking scumbags.
Isn’t it up to the judge?
That’s what they’re paid for.
