Smallpox is often the first thing that is cited, when pro-vaxxers claim vaccines work, and vaccines save lives.
But did vaccines really eradicate smallpox?
No.
Smallpox has always been a biological weapon of war, going back thousands of years.
“Variolation” was practiced in ancient China, where they would collect the scrapings of smallpox infected skin, and blow the skin particles up someones nose, as a supposedly well-intentioned method of preventing smallpox.
It worked about as well as you’d imagine it would, and eventually the practice was abandoned in China,
But not before the quack practice was embraced by woke Europeans, who continued to try and make it work for the next few hundred years.

Eventually, the vaccine quacks were able to mandate smallpox vaccines, in order to fight the smallpox epidemic that they themselves had started.
Vaccine quacks always double-down on their own stupidity, and never admit a single mistake...
The US military gave smallpox infested blankets to the Native Americans, which is biological warfare.
Eventually, it became clear that the more they “vaccinated” against smallpox, the more smallpox there was.
So what did they do, to get out of this pickle?
They claimed, falsely, that their smallpox vaccine had successfully eradicated smallpox off the face of the earth,
and therefore smallpox vaccines were no longer necessary,
Once they stopped vaccinating against smallpox, the smallpox epidemic magically went away.
What they really did, was merely change the name of smallpox, to monkeypox, and pretended that smallpox no longer exists, and that any smallpox that happens to be out there, is just monkeypox.
This history is well-known in the anti-vaccine community, however it hasn’t been talked about too much, since COVID.
But now that monkeypox is suddenly in the news, and spreading all over the world,
Be prepared for the vaccine propaganda to ramp up.
They will soon be telling you that monkeypox vaccine is necessary, and that its safe, and effective,
And they will point to smallpox as their supposed success story.
Don’t believe them.
Don’t take that vaccine.
They did the same thing with “polio”.
They changed the name of polio, and declared that vaccines had eradicated polio.
In 2002, Dr. Tom Mack of USC stated --
“My credentials include probably spending more time working up [analyses of] population-based outbreaks of smallpox than virtually anybody ever has.”
Mack then stated --
“If people are worried about endemic smallpox [long lingering or permanent presence of the disease in the population],** it disappeared from this country not because of our mass herd immunity [derived from a vaccine]. It disappeared because of our economic development.** And that’s why it disappeared from Europe and many other countries…[its disappearance is] not from universal vaccination.”
“Most important determinant to the eventual number of [smallpox] cases is whether or not somebody gets put in the hospital. And everything should be done to prevent that.” “Unexposed [to the smallpox disease] community members have negligible risk. There is a substantial risk from a vaccine…It is the single most dangerous live vaccine.”
Common diseases of the early part of the last Century were caused from the lack of sanitation and nutrition. It was a sanitation and hygiene issue. The prevalence of animal husbandry, the reliance of domesticated animals for travel, the lack of sanitation infrastructure, hygiene, and good nutrition contributed to widespread diseases.
While smallpox captured the imagination with its high death rate and gross manifestations on victims' bodies, less obvious infections claimed even more lives. For example, eighteenth-century Philadelphians drank water contaminated with fecal matter, which resulted in endemic typhoid, dysentery, and other intestinal diseases. Since polio was primarily transmitted in fecal matter, by simply improving sanitation infrastructure reduced the occurrence of polio cases.
Better sanitation, hygene, and/or nutrition is likely what cured all previous illnesses.
And those things happened due to free market capitalism.
Agreed. If you did a search on 'sanitation' eliminating disease, it's amazing seeing all the government sources trying to debunk this fact. Being over the target is seeing the vast amount of resources attempting to debunk it.
This also happens in modern day Africa, which is why people get sick, and their dictators then claim it is "AIDS" so they can collect tax money from rich countries (after the required kickbacks/bribes are paid from that money, of course).
