Nah. A ute is a specific type of vehicle, different from a truck here, although possibly "truck" in the US. It's got a small or medium sized flat bed at the back, with raised sides, but no fixed or hard cover.
A truck is a vehicle, where the storage is enclosed, big and with a certain size engine, unlike a "van" which is enclosed, but smaller.
To transport a 'household' via a ute, you'd have to stack it all up Beverly Hillbillies style, and then well, it'd still have to be a mighty small household.
Couldn't fit even 1/10th of our household in a ute!
<loads up truck, moves household to the Northern Republic of Australia>
I believe the proper term for truck down undah is "ute".
A ute is an SUV or pickup. A utility truck.
