Hope not. We NEED social media, else we would not be able to communicate effectively en masse and be able to fight all of this mess. That's how the info against the jabs, covid, the good info on Ivm Hcq and the other vitamins came out so quickly. Tv was all that was around 50 years ago - having only broadcast media via TV would set us up again for a new 'programming' one-way (broadcast out, no discussion or rebuttal) scam.

It is not enough for something to be needed, but it should also be able to self sustain itself financially through free market forces.
Currently social media does not do that, hence its dependant on dark money and also on monetising people's privacy to the point of weaponising it.
I am hoping TS will lead the way into a future that serves as a model for how it can be self-sustaining.
If people really NEED it so badly, they should be willing to pay for it,
