Thanks for the explanation. Judging from the others who contributed on this thread, these employers violate the law. We need to go after these employers. How can they come in and fire everyone in that position and verify they followed the provision for "protect similarly employed U.S. workers from being adversely affected by the employment of the nonimmigrant workers"
Couldn't agree with you more! Unfortunately there's a loophole written in:
*It allows H-1B reliant companies to ignore the requirements about protecting American jobs as long as they pay the foreign workers at least $60,000 a year, or hire a foreign worker with a master’s degree *
In my most recent lay off (that I was referring to above) all of the foreign workers had master's degrees...isn't that convenient?
The overwhelming sad feeling I'm left with this past couple of years is that our legislators, corporations, administrative bureaucrats, big tech and everyone making decisions for us, seem to think of law abiding, hard working Americans last.
