Disclaimer: I have not been following any news lately, but this has been on everyone's lips.
I have to play devil's advocate here. This video has 0 context. If it turns out that police in fact did nothing as claimed then yes, they are despicable.
However, (unpopular opinion incoming) just from this video we cannot tell if there were units in the building or not. During any active shooter event , cops are supposed to set a perimeter and a small group enters the building to neutralize the shooter. This looks like that perimeter. It is intended to keep the public out of harms way and when looking at it form this perspective, this video makes sense.
That said, alot of other details I have heard of this situation are highly suspicious.
I follow Jack Pasobic, but, I don't like the fact that JP post something and everyone seems to take his word as gospel. That's not how this community is supposed to be. We are supposed to be the critical thinkers.
Lol every time he posts there's always a majority that just comments, then some that hate the guy and dint even address the issue but just talk about him being CIA, and no actual fan boys I can think of..
Exactly.. what are they suppose to do let a bunch of panicking parents sprint into a school with an active shooter? What if there's more than 1 shooter how would they know if there's another when parents start entering? This is all just common fucking sense but if there wasn't cops inside this is sick. Why the fuck do people believe Pasobic anyways? He's stirring the pot
Great point. What I don't get is why the cops aren't communicating any info like we have people inside calm down please nothing. Just taser drawn get back get back. They could of comforted these parents and what did this video show them doing?
In the opening moments of the video you can hear someone say "we are taking care of it." From body language of many of the parents (dads, I am assuming) they are agitated and looking as if about to lash out. It also looks as if two people have been subdued already before the person started to record. The officer with the tazer drawn is covering his fellow officers, as would happen when ANYONE is subdued, to prevent an attack behind.
We are taking care of it also can mean that, yes, we have back up on the way, and we're still going to be protecting the shooter and jacking off until then.
I guarantee the parents are livid because of the inaction. If they knew police were competent and immediately were in the building, there would still be worry, stress and concern but it would not be the anger directed at the police as in the video.
You may be right. Like I said, I was playing devil's advocate. And trying to see the situation of what are cops supposed to do in this situation. Remove emotions, when viewed from a strictly procedural veiw (from what I SEE in the video), these officers acted in accordance with their training. I am making low level assumptions based on what I know of how emergency responders are trained and the information I can garner from the video.
I would say that keeping the shooter actively engaged in a firefight with law enforcement doesn't give the shooter any time to rampage on children, so get those asses moving and go save those children dammit!! Watch this video again, put yourself in one of those people with a GUN's shoes. And then remember that the entire time, there is a trannyfagpussypunkbitch killing children behind you, and there are people counting on you to save the day. You gonna just stand around and push those same people back and keep the peace in the parking lot?? No!!! You go balls deep with your team of other mother fuckers with guns straight in there and whoop some ass!! Pardon me, but I do not understand how the public was kept out of harms way. Harm was the people. Out to harm a child slaughterer!!! And the police protected him is what this looks like. I'm all screwed up about this mess. But seriously, all bets are off with me, when pussies go to killing children.
I don't disagree with that instinctual reaction one bit. God forbid, if my kids were in this situation, i would want to rush in. that is the natural reaction of a GOOD parent. I am speaking to the video itself. The Police have an obligation to keep the public safe. that means they are divided into hunting down the suspect and protecting bystanders. what is supposed to happen in this situatuion is exactly what happend in... the... VIDEO...
Police set up a perimeter to keep the public safe, this is their first priority. it seems a though someone tried to charge in like you would have done and ended up getting subdued, as the police in any situation would be required to do to keep people safe. Then the officer with tazer in hand was standing cover over his fellow officers.
OBJECTIVLY speaking, the officers did what they were trained to do.
i have admitted that i have very little context of the whole situation, and I have been trying to get more info on the story, but the answers i am looking for such as "how did the shooting end" seem to be behind pay walls and everyone else is just say how inept the police were.
The perimeter would have been there regardless of whether they had anyone in the building. I can almost guarantee these parents were livid with the lack of action, and had they actually entered the building immediately there would have been less anger directed towards the police from the parents.
You could be correct you are correct o. The perimeter. We hunted with 5 guys max Nd you move fast clearing shit and echo locating on gun fire. All they teach us for that scenario is hunt and stop i.e. kill the active shootsrs.

I did think the same thing. There could have been cops inside, but it's possible there weren't. We don't know from this video.

You can decide when CNN tells you what to believe. Yes, Sarcasm. :)
Did you miss the part where I said that I haven't been watching ANY news lately? This is an NPC lvl response. Your better than this Fren.

Ahhh...you are absolutely correct.
Sounds like these cops should be investigated as accessories.

The whole situation reeks of lies and treachery. Something is very wrong about this shooting.
100 % agree
Heah we k ow next to nothing and we have been duped on these things before.
