I think the normalization argument makes a more sense than the idea that they have to tell us à la the Simpsons and 9/11. It’s like sigil magic. If you write something down it supposedly becomes more likely to happen. Imagine if you had the ability to disseminate your desires in movies. It takes something from your mind and puts it into more peoples’ minds, making them accept it as real. Whether they like it or not, it’s a fait accompli.
