He was admitted for overnight observation after going to the ER with severe stomach pains. CT scan showed the tip of his appendix is slightly inflamed, liver is inflamed, liver enzymes are 8x normal, and bilirubin is 1.3 instead of 1. Doctor said possibly the hepatitis that’s been going around in children. My son is 7, and has not been vaccinated. He had COVID around Christmas, but I’m not sure if that matters at all. He’s not in pain now, just tired. Hopefully it’s nothing and his numbers go down by the morning.

Has he been taking Tylenol? That will elevate his liver enzymes. (I know because it happened to my mother. She can't take Tylenol at all now because she was taking it for pain relief per a doctor and then it did this damage to her liver.)
It's terrible to watch your child in pain. My daughter had her appendix out when she was 12. That was a rough 24 hours between symptoms and surgery.
I'm praying for your son. Blessings and healing to your son and your family.
Try NAC for your mother, it's what they give by iv when someone overdoses on tylenol. Apparently it's quite the protector of the liver, prophylactically, too.
Keep telling people this = NAC prophylactically protects the liver :)
Wow! Thank you so much. I didn't know that. But I had gotten her some NAC and Quercetin both when the whole coof scare was afoot. I'll check to maker sure she's still taking it.
