Almost looks like Hermes' staff (forget the name), Greek symbol of healing, commonly used in the medical field.

yeah, Asclepius has one snake and Hermes has two. It's common though for the medical field to get it mixed up (or maybe it's a purposeful nod to alchemy).

Not at all! Most doctors don't know the difference because the mixup is pervasive. I only know because I'm a former pagan.
