So two questions-
- Who is eating and or selling the horse meat?
- Is that the real reason we were guided to ivermectin? To alert us to the fact that we're being fed horse meat?

People do eat horses… but the thing you are missing is that ivermectin has been around for a long time and well tested… they don’t want humans taking it because we would no longer be tied to the healthcare system… we would be mostly healthy except for broken bones and old age.

Yeah I mean aside from false advertising it as beef there is really no downside to eating horses except that of our own cultural mores.
My theory on the ivermectin is they don't want a potential buildup in the meat. When I had cows you were supposed to not treat so many months before slaughter.

Will never forget my 10th grade world cultures teacher who had lived an amazing life and had slides from many countries. One year right before Thanksgiving break she did her China presentation. Dog markets with small dogs in cages and one slide of a guy with a blowtorch burning off the hair of the one the customer had selected to take home and eat.
Also tragic slides of orphanages with kids with poop around their mouth like a chocolate milk mustache from eating crap to live bc they were so neglected.
Kinda killed the Thanksgiving buzz that year.

That's true. Horses are not kosher meat. They do not have a four-chambered stomach and they do not have cloven hooves. That's two strikes against eating them.
It wouldn't make it into kosher meat. Regular USDA-certified meat from kosher animals isn't kosher; kosher meat comes from a kosher butcher and is quite expensive.

Reminds me of a company that made hot dogs years ago that got into trouble. Apparently, they were located near the Bronx Zoo. Had a cute little jingle on the kids TV shows. "...meats are good, good, good, the best meats in the neighborhood." The ads stopped soon after the incident.
Got closed down shortly thereafter for using horsemeat.
I was afraid to ask what the incident was.

As a horse woman, that warning has been in the box for years, nothing new. I've been taking the "horse paste " invermectin for 1.5 yrs now. It won't hurt you.
That wasn't what blew my mind. It was the fact that horse meat is a thing and where is it being sold as beef? Why are businesses allowed to sell substances without disclosing what it is? I thought we had laws about full disclosure labeling.
I don't know about the laws, but it's a known fact that horses are stolen or sold at auctions for meat. That's been going on as long as I can remember (47yr horse experience)

The syringe is marked with black lines that indicate pounds. I think the whole syringe is for a 1250 pound animal. Just find your weight closest to the marks. 200 pounds, four black marks. If you take too much you will be ok. Just don't take the whole syringe worth. Since it may cause some loose stools, I started with one dose and noticed in about 2 weeks was when I started seeing results in my stool. I found Flukes . Swimming in fresh water lakes that had snails plus being on cattle grazed land. My father was a country veterinarian and for years he would say we needed to be wormed. He stopped me from eating sushi, " large mouth bowel worm " he said. Raw fish have parisites in it. I wish he was alive today to see that he was right.
My syringe goes from 0 - 250 with a line in the middle . So I would think that line is about 125 and I would be less than that. So I took some but it seemed like a lot, maybe its just weird to me. Do you know how often I need to take this?
Sounds right. You really can't overdose unless you squirt the whole tube on your mouth. Bitter taste. I would wait at least two weeks to check your stool it see if there are any parasites. Google has pictures of Flukes, tapeworms, pinworms. You might have some diarrhea.

If you were me, I would try it. I'm not a Dr and I don't want you to take it if your scared of the paste and I dont have the answer to what's going on. All I know is, all my life I've been on farms with horses and cattle. My father was a veterinarian and heard him saying that we needed to be wormed and he did worm me when I was a child. So, I wasn't afraid to take it. My reasoning was if a million dollar horse can take it safely then I'll try it. I did and in about two weeks I saw parasites in my stool.. that was year and half ago and it really disgusted me. Since then, I've been taking it regularly about once a month. My son, who is getting his masters in holistic medicine, says to worm yourself during the luner phases.. I'm so sorry that your having problems. Father God, have mercy on your child. They don't want animals that are feed to humans to have active parasite drugs in them. If you dose you need to wait for that drug to be depleted in the animal before food production.

That's truly horrendous. How can we find out who buys the meat? Which fast food burgers or stores are passing it off as beef?
Most horsemeat probably goes for pet food in the USA, but of course we have no way of knowing for sure. I've noticed that sometimes the cat food cans are labeled "With Beef" or "With Chicken." Well, what's the "with?" You can guess.
Horses die every day. We don't have pet cemetaries for such large animals. If a horse dies or is euthanized, the owner nearly always sends the remains to the rendering plant and your dog gets to eat dinner.
I don't know of any horse people who object to that. Once the animal dies, it can no longer suffer fear or pain. But they do object to sending a live horse to a slaughterhouse, because it's a terrifying end for an animal that is used to working very closely with people and being cared for by them.
The Japanese once bought a Kentucky Derby winning stallion named Ferdinand. After making big money off of him for years as a breeding horse, the time eventualy came when the horse was past breeding.
In the USA he would have just been turned out in a nice paddock to enjoy his remaining years, after all he had done for his owners.
The Japanese sent this horse live to a slaughterhouse since he was no longer useful to them.

Horse are commonly raised for meat in France. They seem to prefer the Brabant breed for this.
Most other Western nations have a strong cultural aversion to eating horses, cats, and dogs, but we know very well that most Eastern nations do not. Meat is meat, when you can get it.
We had a horse meat packing facility in DeKalb, Illinois for years. We find it revolting, but it is more popular in Europe. When they closed it down, they had an increase in animal abuse, and some just let their horses out when they could no longer afford to feed them. At least with the packing facility, there was somewhere to take an old horse they could no longer feed.
