Its still THEIR club and we aint in it. - baaah.
Have you tried asking to get in? Seriously. I got curious little over a decade ago because of what all was said about Mason's online and happened to live in an apartment building across the street from my towns Lodge. So one night when I saw them all out there gathering and decided to walk over introduce myself and ask some questions. They invited me to dinner and answered all my questions and than after dinner invited me back to the meal before their next meeting. I went to a few meals got to know the regulars and learned and the charity community outreach and fellowship and friendship. Decided to ask to join and was accepted. Did my three degrees and became a decided to take on a role in the leadership of my Lodge for some life experience and help get over some personal anxieties. Over all it's been a great investment of my time and has helped me grow personally. I've developed a deep friendship with several of the members. Just they let me in when I knocked and I was a long haired metalhead. I put in the work and I'm now one of the most respected people. I've been in all the leadership positions and now sit back as one of the ones that people ask advice from.
Either you are simply a low degree minion who is being groomed by your higher ups or you are being deceptive by making out masonry to be an organization of light and brotherhood. Its not just a group of old men drinking beers.
True, but most of the bad stuff is hidden unless you know what you are doing. Methodist pastors are typically involved with them to some degree for example. If not the pastor, half the congregation… it’s so sad and this is from first hand knowledge
I'm a member of my local blue lodge. (Your standard community lodge.) Im as high ranking as any member of any blue lodge, we are all equal. However I have held both main leadership roles. One being the Master of the Lodge in 2018-19 and the Lodge Secretary whom some would argue has more to do with the day to day operation of the Lodge. I can't speak for other Lodges or even the Grand Lodge of my state as I have little interest in them. I joined to be a part of my local community and take a part of some of the good things I learned my local Lodge supports. In fact next week I'll be taking a load of bounce houses rockwall's etc to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford NC with a few other brothers for I think the block party and next month we will be taking the books we collected in our book drive to the Veterans nursing home near by us and visiting them again if they let us this year.
What I gather from your posts is you are either putting on a face about the good/light aspects of being a member of a lodge while concealing the dark activities you are up to or you are being used as a pawn to do PR activity while the real stuff is happening over your head. I'd ask what kind of spiritual knowledge are you learning? We know about the apron being a symbol for creative energy, the chessboard, the pillars, the sun and the moon. We know the symbolism traveler. So what are you currently learning and mastering? Masons doing charity for kids creeps me the fuck out. You could have said you are working for the Clinton Foundation doing charity for children, same thing.
