Why do Americans have this fixation about "bathrooms"?

Firstly they are not bathrooms, since they do not contain baths and nobody bathes. Assuming you really mean toilets, well when I use a public toilet I get in there and do the business then leave, without checking out everyone's junk to see if they are tranny or not. I really don't want to see it.

I get that people worry about their female family being exposed to fake penis-females who might do them harm. But is this really likely? You're in a toilet in a restaurant and you're seriously at risk from the man/woman/creature in the next cubicle? Just lock the fkin door.
