Nice to see fellow keel-owners & skippers.
Salty dog. What ya flying?
Back surgery in 92 ended my blue water days, but I can still hear them sirens sing.
Ah .... yes .... it's irresistible!
This lady was designed by Finot with some '73 improvements: 26ft Ecume de Mer. She's still awesome and tippy top.
I would love to sail her across one day.
From the moment I heard the Main flutter and felt the Keel cut the water I was hooked, some 50 + years ago.
Sounds like a real lady, you should take her traveling.
My 22 chrysler with a swing made it across the pond, the crazy squid that owned her before I took her to the river Rhine.
I extended her topside with a 5' bow spirit, and a pair of 3' fantails off the stern to hoist a mizzen, turned her into a baby yawl.
Shallow enough for bayou's and bays, big enough for blue water adventure.
Worked offshore for 18 years, knew where the hot reef were, blowing bubbles spearing mostly, and troll fishing.
Damn I miss that blue water, Good luck Salty Skipper.
Having a mid life at 56. Lol. I'm mature enough to make the most of it. Captains school next fall. Stoked. I need peace. I need quiet. I need freedom. Damn happy to meet ya skipper.
Perfect time to have a midlife! The unplug is profound!
I can hardly wait. I can just feel it already. Lol.
