definitely, and I notice they try to push their shows on us. it's hard for them to understand we'd rather read.
or be outside in the fresh air or hang with people who also understand the bs narratives.
They don’t just watch television, they immerse themselves in it. Their lives pale in comparison with the “beautiful people” they see on TV, so they strive to remake themselves. They’re like the high school kid who’ll do whatever it takes to be part of the “in” crowd. If I watch all these witty, beautiful people in movies, or on TV (especially talk shows and reality TV); if I have money enough to get season tickets for good seats for a popular team, I become like them. Credit cards enable us to appear to be more than we are and soon it becomes a trap - not only can we not let the facade down, we don’t even know who we are anymore. Basically, it’s called idolatry. Whatever it takes to feel worthy - they’ll sell their souls for it.
