You might like to correct that typo. It should be either "composed of" or "comprising".

Greekish had it backward. He meant "comprised of"
The whole is COMPRISED OF individual parts; it doesn't comprise them. Instead, it's the reverse. They comprise the whole.

You're confusing "comprise" with "compose." "Comprise" is similar to "contain." You wouldn't say, "A carton is comprised of twelve eggs," so don't use "comprise" passively.
Composed of or comprised of, not comprising ;)
The team doesn't comprise the players; the players comprise the team.
