Titanic? Makes sense for the Fed. JFK? Absolutely, he was gonna screw over the CIA. But Pearl Harbor? That's preposterous. We may have had foreknowledge, but there's no way those bombers were anything other than Japanese, acting of their own accord.
The US government knew and did nothing to stop it. They're as guilty as the Japanese pilots.
Where were the battleships?
Why?
It was the carriers that were all at sea. Obsolescent battleships ( Arizona, Oklahoma) were the ones in port. “ Forward deployed “ by fdr after putting an oil embargo on Japan.
Which was my point - exactly. Plus the planes were all lined up like ducks.
They forced the Japanese to attack us by cutting off steel and oil imports. They needed the Japanese to attack us to take the pressure of Russia. After pearl harbor,Stalin moved his eastern army back, just in time to stop hitler at Moscow.
Khalkhin Gol
The Russians had defeated the Japanese back in 1939.
Correct, but they still kept a large army opposite them. Once the Japanese attacked US,the russian moved it opposite the germans, just in the nick of time.....
Ummm, it was allowed to happen. The documentation is out there. FDR needed an excuse to enter the pacific theater.
They were blocking resources to encourage Japan to attack...
The USA wanted to enter the war and needed a reason.
Yeah - FDR's administration backed the Japanese into a corner. They were reading Japans diplomatic cables and knew what was coming. Honestly its shocking the leadership of Japan actually held off the dogs as long as they did.
