It's too corrupt to fix. It should all be defunded.
As it stands now, you certainly have my vote.
(But that's with about 95% of the monster that has become our government)
It's riddled with corruption and abuse of power.
It's never a good thing to rescue a child from the frying pan, only to throw them into the fire, but some children NEED rescuing from the frying pan.
At the risk of sounding redundant,
If we can't provide a safe and loving environment for the seeds of our future, we deserve neither,
our children nor our future.
I'm my opinion, from what I've read & what I've witnessed and what I have heard - there are way more families unnecessarily broken up than children ever saved by the system. & these days, they are downright stealing kids. But I'm no fan of any part of the system now, after everything that's happened.
Baby Bee,
I don't disagree with you, I understand the current system is upside down, inside out and absolutely nothing like the Constitution was intended.
And I know the scum in our government is robbing American Citizen of their children without warrant and without cause, under some twisted and perverted interpretation of the law.
I STRONGLY believe those people involved in the creation and implementation of this system that serves them and them only, should go to jail for the violations of constitutional rights depriving citizens of their children and property.
I'm NOT arguing on behalf of the screwed up system that is in place as it stands today.
Oh contrary, I want to burn it all down. The rot is to deep and it stinks of abuse and corruption and greed, beyond salvation.
But....
In a idealistic world, children should be spared from harm, neglect and abuse, whether it be emotional, physical or sexual. Every child should be provided with the necessities of life. If a child's life is in danger, if a child's soul is in jeopardy, don't we as a Society have a obligation, don't we as Christians have a duty, to intervene to protect that child. Whether that threat be from parent or stranger, pedophile or psycho.
So my question to you is,
How do we do that?
"I STRONGLY believe those people involved in the creation and implementation of this system that serves them and them only, should go to jail for the violations of constitutional rights depriving citizens of their children and property."
Everyone who works for the system is involved though. They literally get kickbacks for confiscating kids. It all needs to be brought down.
"If a child's life is in danger, if a child's soul is in jeopardy, don't we as a Society have a obligation, don't we as Christians have a duty, to intervene to protect that child."
But by whose standards? I know a woman whose mother used to make her stay on her knees and pray. I'd wager most of the people who work for that system would consider that child abuse today.
The truly horrific child abuse situations that your nightmares are conjuring are usually very hard to cover up & if it's criminal, than it's criminal. But the kids usually have extended friends and family & more than likely would be welcomed into someone's home. No need for government to take custody. And the very slim number that are worthy of nightmares; sorry but I don't feel it's worth saving them if it means putting thousands, if not millions, of other kids in actual harm's way. I know plenty of people who lived through the foster system and more than not, all I hear are horror stories. Stories that were way worse than their original situations.
So how do we fix it? Leave it alone. You take care of you and yours and don't worry about anyone else. All this worrying about everyone else and what everyone else is doing and what everyone else is thinking what everyone else is teaching their child is why we are in this social situation of such fuckery.
But that's just my opinion.
