ALERT! BAD ESCHATOLOGY DETECTED!

Um no. You are propagating pre-millennial dispensationalism. A view of the 'end-times" that only became mainstream starting in 1909 with the publication of the Scofield Reference Bible. The first Bible to have footnotes on eschatology in it and to push the fringe idea of rapture over the established idea of essentially taking dominion because.... GOD WINS. The Christian men that founded this nation didn't do so under the belief that the world would be destroyed. They did so because they knew that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father making all His enemies His footstool.

Revelation was about the complete destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD by Rome. Exactly in the same generation Jesus said it would happen. And it was Biblical. All the cups of wrath poured out from sickness, to demons, to the sun being blacked out, to the streets running with blood. It was the most horrific localized judgment in history.

Guess who the only people to survive were? Christians. How? Because when they saw the "abomination of desolation" (aka Roman armies since Rome had 7 hills with 7 governors = 7 headed 7 horned beast) surrounding the city they fled to the mountains. (See histories of Josephus)

Oh and the beast? Nero Cesar who's image was on all the money. Even his name in Hebrew letters (which are also numbers) equaled 666. He was burning Christians alive on stakes to light his dinner parties at night. aka Roman Candles.

The Rapture and the belief that there's nothing we can do and this battle is God's alone is the greatest lie the devil has ever gotten the church to believe. "In the last days it will be like the days of Noah." Who was swept of the Earth in the days of Noah? Only the wicked that were not in the ark (which was symbolic of Christ)

God wins. He uses us to do so. He doesn't take us away and finish the fight Himself. As the Gospel grows and His law goes forth throughout the Earth the enemy looses more ground until Jesus comes in FINAL judgment. Then that's it. It's a wrap.

If you think you're gonna get raptured away at any time are you gonna be following the great commission and taking over every part of society and government? Are you going to start projects that your great grandchildren will need to finish? Or are you going to be neutered and almost celebrate when you see things get worse? I know what I see as fruit from churches that hold the pre-mill view and it's weak. While small Post-mill churches are out there fighting BIG fights and winning. It's night and day.

Here's a playlist of sermons, talks, explanations, and debates on this if you want to learn more about what Christians believed for almost 2000 years about the "end times" https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm4vxYfDpoYaWjqK76eZukIyKtyX5Xa-J

I saw a video on a speech a guy made on the founders and how their belief system played a Big part in the revolutionary war. They won against all odd. Didn’t save it.

Yep. The were protestants and their belief in God and His kingdom is what drove them.

It's also why they didn't fire the first shot. They knew God would only bless them if they were not the aggressors in the situation. They tried all diplomatic processes as well as asking England to repent of their unbiblical taxation prior.

Fun fact: In England they called the American Revolution the "Protestant Rebellion" as many of the leaders were Pastors and Preachers.

So if the Kingdom of God - ruled over by Christ for 1,000 years is what we've had since AD70 then it really sucks!

It doesn't conform to Daniel 2, nor Isaiah 9.

Sorry the Preterism you preach is plain wrong!

So if the Kingdom of God - ruled over by Christ for 1,000 years is what we've had since AD70 then it really sucks!

You must have missed the parables about the mustard seed and levian in bread. If you had a Christian (or anyone from a few hundred years ago) here now and how much better the world is they would disagree. Imagine telling Paul that you have a device in your pocket that can translate the bible to any language and send it anywhere in the world instantly and that 1 out of 3 children don't die before adulthood. The list goes on forever.

Your eschatological view doesn't agree with alot of verses like Psalm 145:13 among others. Your traditions blind you to what scripture teaches.

Daniel 2 is absolutely fulfilled and being done more so every day. What part do you not understand? The symbolism? The fact that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father and reigning? Jesus Himself said His kingdom has come when you receive the Holy Spirit and that happened at Pentecost.

As for Isaiah 9:3 the Lord promises to multiply his people Israel. This is according to the Abrahamic Covenant’s promise of a great seed and influence among the nations. God will accomplish this by calling the Gentiles to be the seed of Abraham (Gal 3:29). This involves their ingrafting into Israel’s stock (Ro 11:16–19), the merging of Jew and Gentile into one body (Eph 2:11–17). The increase of Israel’s joy (v 3) indicates the joy in the Savior’s coming (Lk 2:10; Jn 3:29). According to the New Testament, Christ brings joy to his people (Jn 15:11; 16:20ff); and where Christianity goes, joy follows (Ac 8:8; 13:52; 15:3; Ro 14:17; 15:13; 1 Pe 1:8; 1Jn 1:4). As in Isaiah 2:3–4 Christ’s coming results in oppression and war ceasing (vv 4–5), which Isaiah portrays in the burning of soldiers’ garments as a symbol that they will no longer be needed. This is similar to the earlier casting off of swords (Isa 2:4).

Christ’s reign over his kingdom begins at his first coming (Mt 4:17; 12:28) and will gradually increase over time (Mt 13:31–33). In prophecy Christ appears as the son or branch of David (Jer 23:5; 33:13), or as David himself (Jer 30:9; Eze 34:23, 23; 37:24; Hos 3:5). After his resurrection he ascends to David’s throne (Ac 2:30–31), which represents God’s throne (1Ch 28:5; 29:23). His reign brings peace, for he is the “Prince of Peace” (Isa 9:6). Calvin puts it well in his commentary on Isaiah (vol. 1, p. 96). This peace grows incrementally through history in that Christ “extends its boundaries far and wide, and then preserves and carries it forward in uninterrupted progression to eternity.”

This and much more is discussed and debated in the link I provided. Why don't you explore what Christians believed and taught for thousands of years up until recently. It will change your walk with God and your outlook on His plan. God wins.

Thank you for your lengthy reply. Doctrinal/Dogma positions always pick and choose what suits their argument, indeed as your exegesis on the Preterist position has done. Let me point out the bits you chose to omit. The mustard seed and leaven in the THREE portions of dough – Ham, Shem and Japheth - relates to the Great Commission of Jesus Matthew 28:18-20. Which sadly we have failed to achieve and in reality, as Jesus expected [Luke 18:8 when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”] Daniel 2 is not fulfilled as you assert – though you seem to be confused as you then say “… and being done more so every day” I note later you appeal to Calvin on this. Daniel 2 deals with the four empires of man, as God revealed to Nebuchadnezzar through Daniel. The empires of man and in particular the legs – Rome and feet yet to be fully revealed have not ceased to remain. Rome itself was sacked by the vandals and goths in the 5th Century AD but the Eastern part of the Roman Empire continued until 15th Century AD, and by the 6th Century had retaken Italy. The Italian end of the empire whilst suppressed for a period re-emerged as the Papal States -> Holy Roman Empire -> various German Empires/Reich’s and today as the EU formed by the ‘Treaty of Rome’. Daniel 2 to be fulfilled requires the return of Christ – the stone cut without hands – when this happens the stature of the empires of man will be completely destroyed ‘blown away as chaff’ and the earth will be filled with Chrit’s Kingdom. There is nothing in Daniel 2 to suggest the Kingdom will be formed until then. At the Ascension the disciples ask Acts 1:6 Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” Jesus responds and says it’s not for you to know – He tells them to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit and to be witnesses for Him. There is nothing her about Jesus ‘His kingdom has come’ in fact quite the opposite – I don’t see how you think Jesu gave any such command. You paragraph commencing Isaiah 9 is long and confusing as to what you seek to convey. Isaiah 9:6-7 is a prophesy of Christ’s coming to rule on the earth only then will we see the peace and good government which no government of man has yet, not can produce. He will as Gabriel told Mary [Luke 1:32] sit on the throne of David – an earthly throne not a heavenly one – but this has not happened. Isaiah 2:3-4 a prophesy of the future Millennial Kingdom – the witness to this is that oppression and wars have continued to this day, they have not ceased, indeed Jesus told us this, [Luke 12:51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.] and that division even in families, again this has been seen. Jesus taught us to pray ‘… thy Kingdom come’ an invocation to God to allow the Kingdom to come – but it’s not here yet. Today Christ is seated at the right hand of God – He is not King He is not reigning. You can only have one King of a Kingdom at a time. Revelation 20 deals with His reign for a 1,000 years on the earth – that described by Isaiah. Then comes the final Great White Thone judgements – BUT then He hands the Kingdom back to God the Father – who has been enjoying His 1,000 year Day of rest. [1 Corinthians 15:24-26 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.] His reign comes to an end when Death is destroyed [Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.] The parable of the Minas in Luke [Luke 19:12 … He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.] He speaks of Himself going to receive a Kingdom and return – He hasn’t returned yet! You quote Calvin but he was confused about much, his view on ‘Monergistic Converion’ is just wrong John 3:16 says ‘whoever will believe shall not perish’ the offer is free to receive. ‘Perseverence of the Saints’ – blown away by Hebrews 6:4-6. I enjoyed R C Sproul’s discomfort in teaching on this [I regularly listened to him whilst he was with us and learnt much from him], and I recall him saying that this was a most difficult passage from the Calvinist because it contradicts the doctrine. He fudged at the end relying on verse 9 to get him out of his predicament – but it was holllow. As I said above the problem with almost all doctrines and dogma is what is left out, the whole word of God is not taken into account, and I think you will now see why Revelation having been fulfilled in AD70 is plain wrong. It is all yet to come and indeed given the present state of the world the sooner the better. You suggest I study your link – but the fact is I have studied all the eschatological positions to reach my conclusion and position which is what Peter told us to do.

If you think you're gonna get raptured away at any time are you gonna be following the great commission

I don’t personally subscribe to the idea of rapture. Nevertheless, it’s possible for someone to believe in the rapture and to believe that they should be obedient to Jesus and follow the great commission. I don’t see why those two ideas have to be mutually exclusive.

and taking over every part of society and government?

Did you intend to link this idea to the great commission? I’m wondering where this idea comes from Biblically, if you don’t mind me asking.

The Earth is part of our commission. Jesus's blood bought ALL of it. Government, media, education, art, farming, business, **everything ** belongs to Christ and we are the stewards. What do you think taking dominion means exactly?

Jesus is the King of kinds. This is His Earth and we are His servants. What kind of servant doesn't serve his Master in every part of his Masters kingdom?

I can't recommend this book enough that goes very much in depth on the subject. It's practically required reading at a few reformed churches that are having a huge impact on the world like Apologia, the church behind EndAbortionNow.com and much of the abortion abolition legislation being pushed throughout the country.
