With bots an easy way to catch them is by using a metaphor. It's raining cats and dogs outside. You will get a response saying they don't understand the question. Also bots can be extremely aggressive and nasty getting increasingly aggressive and crude with their comments reiterating the same point over and over trying to back you into a corner.
I've watched some videos on botspotting a while back but I need a refersher.
Bots will use viscous ttacks on your personal with increasing veracity trying to evoke a response out of you.
I try to remain emotionally neutral on the forums and walk away when I see someone resorting to personal attacks it's not always easy, and I have had years of experience with forums first in gaming forums and now here. I know a lot of people are relatively new at this, but even for us seasoned forumers it's not always easy to spot a bot, and sometimes my troll meter is down and I fall for them too and then I have to tip my hat to a good troll.
OP,
Do you stand behind 'Insider' as a credible source? They quote 'Variety' as their source.
Ive heard of Variety and wouldn't wipe my ass with their rag.
Ive never heard of Insider.
After a cursory perusal of Insider's headlines... I'm likely to dismiss them outright, sir.
Trump's ex-campaign manager Bill Stepien said he quit after the election because he 'didn't think what was happening was honest or professional'
Trump's attorney general Bill Barr said dealing with 'bogus' 2020 voting fraud claims was like 'playing Whac-a-Mole'
Liz Cheney says Rudy Giuliani was 'apparently inebriated' when advising Trump on election night in 2020
Trump's influence is faltering among GOP donors, with some hoping for a new candidate in 2024: report
Jan. 6 live updates: Hearings resume Monday as some in GOP seek 'off-ramp' from Trump's lies about 2020 election
GOP Gov. Asa Hutchinson says Trump is 'politically' and 'morally' responsible for January 6
Its pretty clear to me what side of the 'news' this Insider prefers.
The op is one of those spam posters probably a bot and the reason I use the hide thread option a lot.
Huh...always thought Taffy333 was a real person...please give me some pointers on how to spot spam posters/bots. Genuinely asking.
Maybe they are real but the poster spams a lot.

Appreciate this response!
You're welcome.
Variety is intended for hollywood industry news: When actors change Management or Agents, or deals being made.
Variety reporting on anything outside of that scope should be immediately dismissed.
I've seen umpteen posts on TS about the Jan. 6 committee, so if they're censoring they have a really ineffective censor.
I will say TS has been tinkering with their rules of late causing many posters on the site to express their outrage.
Exactly.
Claim does not mean truth. I can claim that the sky is green, it does not make it true.
