The stated goal was to police "disinformation" and halt its spread, or something like that.
But big tech can do that by itself, and if they needed a government agency to do it, they could secretly do it using FB1, DH5, N5A, FC.C, and maybe 5 more that I can list. They could do it secretly, without real oversight, and get away with it for a longer period of time.
That begs the question: why would they announce it publicly and draw all the fire that it did just to shut it down? Especially when they have done it before (Patriot Act).
Just doesn't seem like that's their real goal.
They're testing the waters to see how mainstream they can make the Gestapo. Twitter can't arrest people
To awaken the masses. CIA ran Google and all social media for mass public manipulation and control. This is forcing the masses to see the truth.
They didn't really shut it down. They handed it to another Obama dude, in the background.
Michael Chertoff. (IIRC pee pee hoaxer?)
Anyways, he is the more private head of MDI.

It pushes big Tech to continue to do their will, while also acting as the patsy for big Tech so they can say "we had to do it"
