Watch until the end... Looks like they're being placed there (from wherever they died) by the machinery. My guess is they're putting a certain number in each section to count them more easily.
From scanning a few articles it appears this happened over the weekend so the die-off probably occurred over the course of a couple-few days. Assuming no corruption, it will be interesting to hear the results of the necropsies.
