Now I am all for remaining in a ketogenic state. That being said my uncle went full vegan style organic diet when he was diagnosed with cancer. Him growing, and getting fresh veggies, and making sure proteins came from veggies helped him naturally defeat the cancer. It is un detectable as of now. He did however lose some skeletal, and skeletal muscular mass. But was that from the cancer? Or the veggies? I suspect both. But the power of eating clean is important. And depending where you are geographically, that sometimes means veggies only. Especially if you do not hunt your own meats.
According to "The Perfect Health Diet" by Paul Jaminet, disease is caused by invaders: bacteria, fungus, virus, parasites, etc These things enter our bodies and may make us initially sick, but when we get get over the illness (or never had one) the invaders still live in our bodies. They find places to take up residence. Which of these species thrives, where they live within our bodies and what disease they cause are tied to genetic propensity and diet. Radically changing your diet usually means no longer eating whatever food it was that your invader thrived on, thus the invader is wiped out from lack of food from you. So while a particular diet may have wiped out the cancer, it is not necessarily sustainable for the long term (meaning many years).
I think cutting the processed foods killed the cancer for him. Meats are processed also from grocery markets. Hormone injected and all that. As I said depending where you are, veggies is best for homeopathic organic diet for medical needs. Because you can control everything. Meats it's a gamble, what if the meat you are eating had early stages of cancer and thats what caused it in us?? Not saying this is the case, just proposing a thought :D I would ideally do poultry and goat milk and cheeses in my diet. But he worked with what he had. He is now using organic goat cheese he gets from a local farmer though. He is slowly adding things back to his diet.
The reality is we need way less protein than most Americans eat. We need just a little bit of meat/fish per week and a little more other animal proteins (ie eggs, cheese) in order to get all the essential nutrients that come from solely animal products. I agree with you that Americans are killing ourselves with big quantities of animal products, particularly because we know toxins have been injected in them. Veggies should absolutely be the primary food in people's diet!
I completely disagree. Protein provides satiety. If people felt full they would eat less filler which in America equates to sugar. Veggies are the main carriers of e. Coli and other pathogens. Veggies are difficult to digest and the nutrients are not easily assimilated. Which is why vegans are either fat from all the sugar (fruit and grains= carbs)or they look like holocaust victims. Americans need to eat less. To do that they must feel full. Proteins from animals is the only thing that does that. Given my age and my height/ weight ratio. I am in perfect shape. I see a lot of overweight people that limit their meat. What kind of shape are you in? 10 lbs overweight is still overweight.
Most likely, he switched from a junk food diet (one of the main causes of cancer) to a cleaner (less or no junk food) diet.
If he ate only veggies, then that is a form of fasting, which is good for beating disease, but not for long-term health maintenance. Such a diet will cause a loss of lean body mass, like it did with your uncle, so it is not a good long-term strategy. But if a person is facing death, it is better than continuing a bad diet.
I suspect that pure fasting, with intermittent eating of clean animal foods periodically to maintain lean body mass, would be far superior for beating cancer and all other illnesses, but nobody is doing any studies on that (yet).
Vitamin B17 which is found in produce mainly the seeds helps fight cancer. (A book called A world without Cancer gets into this)
Asian and other countries use B17 to fight cancer yet it's illegal in the US, and it's been demonized.
The increase in produce may have helped greatly, could have kept the meat in the diet.
As we've learned lots of food is designed to keep us sick.
“Clean eating” is relative. There is no demonstrable standard that legitimizes or defines it. It is considered a ‘fad diet’. Also, it is a food virtue for narcissists.
