Reading the constitution is great and all, but if law enforcement, prosecutors, DAs, and judges all just ignore the constitution, than there isn't much the average American can do.
I like Thomas, but much like Trump, he just doesn't understand the reality he lives in is not the same reality that the average American lives in.
Is he though? Election fraud stands, and we have political prisoners from January 6th subjected to kangaroo courts, antifa and BLM "mostly peaceful", but patriots marching = "terrorists / insurrectionists"
The constitution is only a piece of paper if people in power ignore it
You're not wrong. What irritates me is when people like Thomas or Clarence say this stuff without realizing just how much of an uphill battle this sort of thing can be for everyday Americans. Court cases are time and money sinks, and even winning one (to say nothing about losing one) can majorly impact one's life negatively, far more than it can for someone like Thomas or Trump.
And all of those people probably ignore it because they didn't have it drilled into them when they were in school or were otherwise young. Sure some are likely corrupt, compromised, or just outright evil, and they should be rooted out, but the vast majority are likely just useful idiots/slaves to the current system and society/culture we live in.
We need a generation of people that have read and understood the constitution if any of those positions are going to be filled with patriots ever again. And kids should be saying the pledge of allegiance every day in school again. This is where it all starts and you can't fix the problem by just ignoring it or acting like it's not worth the effort to try to fix for this or that reason.

That's the most full of shit comment I've read all morning.

Thanks for the concern trolling. Why don't you head over to patriots.win where you belong?
Is ad hominem the best you can do?
Usually when people have debates we bring up points and counter points
We the People are supposed to be enforcing the Constitution on the government employees.
You do have a point, but we all need to be versed in it and fight legal challenges when the document is being abused by government employees.
If there EVER was a green light from the SCOTUS to the People on this, the recent decisions have been that green light.
Read it. Understand it. Talk about it. And insist that the government employees follow their oath. Sue them if they don't.
Not easy, but THAT is our power, like it or not.
How do you think SCOTUS gets these cases to rule on in the first place?

Yeah, I understand.
It ain't easy.
But then again ... we don't have to cross the Potomac and fight a life-or-death battle.
