Jesus said that to one crowd who was stoning a single prostitute that He chose to have mercy on. It is not a blanket statement to the whole of humanity.
As in all things, Jesus' teachings were not singular events and singular points. The Old Testament was clear and precise about the stoning of adulterers, incestuous lovers, homosexuals and many other sins that are an abomination to God, however he clearly stated that is is not for man to judge any more, the sins of one were not to be punished by the many because they are rife with sin themselves. This was the New Testament, brought about by Jesus. It is the reason that the old laws were no longer in effect, the blood sacrifice, the prohibition on animals that can be eaten (Leviticus), the execution of entire tribes by the Hebrews, and many of the old ways that were no longer needed because of the new Covenant. You should not pick and choose the Old Laws to follow along with the new. You are to love your neighbor as you do yourself. This includes not punishing your neighbor for their sins. You can walk away from them and their unrepentant sins, but you are not to wage war against them or murder them.

There really isn't any real need for folks to take anything on the internet personally. People are far braver and more obnoxious when they are anonymous. If it helps you vent, than by all means.
