It is a long article, however it is worth a read if you are affected by high cholesterol or know someone that you care about is. Quick summary, there is no evidence that high cholesterol is related to coronary heart disease. Quite the contrary, Statins may actually increase health issues and cause cancer and myopathy. Medical malfeasance has been going on for a very long time, it is time we take a hard look at what is commonly accepted medical practice and question everything we think we know.
I don't have an issue with cholesterol and wouldn't know if I did. I haven't had a blood test since 1999. I stopped believing in western medicine when I realized it was all about money and not health. I respect western surgeons and technical proficiency with anatomy, but regular MD's are no more enlightened about some things as blood letters and witch doctors. I have just been pouring through the NIH database, at first to find alternatives for cancer for a family member and then in general because I found so much conflicting data and so much apparent malfeasance that I just haven't stopped. Anything I find that can help others, I share. I'm not great at Q post research, but I have found I can read and comprehend medical studies and glean useful information.
The explanation for statin-induced adverse muscle effects is probably that statin treatment not only blocks the production of cholesterol but also blocks the production of several other important molecules, for instance, coenzyme Q10, which is indispensable for energy production. As most energy is produced in the muscle cells, including those of the heart, the extensive use of statin treatment may explain the epidemics of heart failure that have been observed in many countries [75].
I should note, this wasn't written by the NIH, I just found it archived there and followed the link to the full study. I may have erred in my post Title in saying it was an NIH study.
Still a worthy study and a great find, but thanks for correcting the record.
It's SO nice to have a forum like this where people are (mostly) sane, honest, and don't have any trouble just owning up to when they've made a mistake.
This is interesting because my mum is on Statin due to her supposedly high cholesterol (I told her to get off it ... but who am I? I don't have that piece of paper that said I attended medical school) ). Even though mum has the healthiest diet you can imagined.
I did my blood works about four months ago, everything was okay except for my cholesterol. It was stepping over the unacceptable line.
Dr "watch your diet!"
Me "I can't eat more healthy than what I am doing right now"
Doctors sees the overall number in cholesterol and throw the Statin in your face. What they don't explain is that your body also need cholesterol to function. I recently discovered that there's two types of LDL - Type A (saturated fat) and Type B (carbs and Sugar). If you're type A, you're in the good zone. B, watch/change your diet. How to tell? If your Triglycerides is low but your HDL is high (Type A)
if your Triglycerides is high and your HDL is low (Type B)
Having said that, if I am wrong, someone can correct me.
Half my family is on Statins. It's going to be tough getting them to wake up to this, but I have to try. Hoping to help this community in general, because we have a job to do and this is another red pill that can be dropped on the normies.
My buddy was prescribed statins. He started randomly acting wierd. Getting super angry at dumb shit.
I told him to look into statins because I heard a podcast from a doc talking about how statins eat the cholesterol in your brain and can affect your brain function.
The article even mentions that high overall cholesterol is a positive and that cancer and other illnesses are less likely in people with higher cholesterol than those with low numbers. It could be related to statins being more negative or high cholesterol is a positive. I don't think they have researched that and been able to make a determination
I remember now Dead Doctors Don't Lie showed how statins reduce cholesterol in blood but your brain is mostly cholesterol so you are starving your brain and now we have Alzheimers.
I have noticed becoming more forgetful lately, cant remember names of favorite shows, what day of the week this is, etc. Just 3 days ago stopped taking my statin drug. Of course too early to tell but since then I am more 'wide awake', unusually more active in that I can stay up real late and no more afternoon naps. I get my planned chores done.

Look into anti-inflammatory drink, foods and other to help stop the formation of plaque

Exactly this.

I'm not without fault and I freely admit it, however I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night, so I got that going for me. 😁🤗

Good info. I will look into the two types of HDL and his that corresponds with Triglycerides.
Routinely given to the elderly - now we know why. Another depopulation method.

Absolutely, who is going to tell them the truth if it's not us. Nobody
Statins, prior to the Covid jab, the biggest pharmaceutical money maker. No incentive to prescribe these, right?
It certainly seems that Statins are another medical malpractice for profit that has been going on since at least the 70's
Statins kill- on purpose.
Red yeast rice.
My buddy was prescribed statins. He started randomly acting wierd. Getting super angry at dumb shit.
I told him to look into statins because I heard a podcast from a doc talking about how statins eat the cholesterol in your brain and can affect your brain function.
He didn’t bother with that.
Divorced 6 months later.
Go figure.
