All the "666" stuff makes better sense, imo, if you read it as "the number of Man," not a man. 7 is the number of God and perfection. Man was made on the 6th day and falls short of perfection. Close, but no cigar. 666 is Man's imperfection to the third power. Our less than perfect nature is what acts against Christ. Better Greek scholars than me thought of this, that there is no definite article in the original. Trying to say it is the number of one specific man has been tried thousands of times and been unsatisfactory: and clearly whether it is Man in general, or a specific man, it is not a spiritual enemy.

"The number 666 relates to the carbon atom, and man. Carbon-12; one of 5 elements in the human DNA is composed of 6 protons, 6 electrons and 6 neutrons, which equates to 666. Carbon-12 is the most abundant of the two stable isotopes of the element carbon, accounting for 98.89% of carbon. Its abundance is due to the Triple-alpha process by which it is created in stars, and as Carl Sagan had once said, “we’re made of star stuff.”
We are made of star stuff, literally. Not just carbon: the first stars had to explode to make all the heavier elements available. Carbon is really a very light one, and we are evolved now as part of a universe full of heavier elements. It's really a breathtaking idea. However, I think St. John had the spiritual numerology in mind.
I don't choose to let any number have power over me. In fact I think looking for 666 in everything is like being scared a black cat will cross my path, and maybe even disrespectful of God's beautiful precision, for everything we perceive has numbers and math associated--I can't believe He created a bad number.

What do you make of this?

MJ 12 says 6 is the number of man
Isn’t it carbon 1?

Man is body, soul, spirit. The 3 fold 6 signifies that body, soul and spirit are all void of the divine.
Yes, that's a way of determining our place in things, as 777 is a number of completeness.
