I eat zero plants, period. Plants are trying to kill us. The ones which are not good at it kill us slower. There are more carcinogens in plants than the chemicals sprayed on them.
Cons:
temporary “keto flu”, aka carb withdrawal.
If you ate a lot of fiber your colon is used to a lot of water bound up in fiber. Possible diarrhea when switching to no-fiber until your colon is used to reabsorbing all that water. You’re no fun to most people anymore.
Pros:
Massive weight loss and constant energy. I lost over 80lbs sitting on my ass. Low inflammation. Red meat is the least inflammatory food there is. Fatty meat is very nutritionally dense. Once you’ve adapted to this WOE you do not eat like on the SAD. I intermittent feast. Usually once a day. I am so much more free never thinking about food or wasting extra time on buying and cooking food. I eat beef, lamb, eggs, fish and other meats for variety. It cuts out most of the bullshit when shopping. My kitchen is very clean and organized. I do not have many dished to clean ever. Half of my food is grilled steaks. I buy whole loins, cut and salt them, leave them on a wire drying rack in the fridge so not brown or spoil, and once a day pull two out to get up to room temp. Life is super simple. I sleep less and better. I haven't been sick for 3 years. My exercise recovery is faster.
I tried a virtual no-carb diet and I couldn't do it. After about 2 weeks I gave up because I just didn't feel like I was getting energy. It could be because I have a compromised liver, and you need a good liver to process all the fat associated with the keto-type diet.
I'm trying to eat a well-balanced diet, and go light on sugary carbs. I tried greek yogurt for a while as my go-to breakfast, but it gave me some weird, chemical-smelling crap and gas, so now I'm having oatmeal for breakfast. I eat a lot of peanut butter on bread (no jelly) for lunch, or sometimes tuna. And then what would be considered a normal meal for dinner (some kind of meat, rice or potatos, and some vegetable, but often no vegetable) I make homemade bread and almost completely avoid fast food and most pre-packaged food. What I still don't know is whether having covid ramped up the heart disease, or it just coincided with it, but after reading about covid and covid shots causing clotting, I'm thinking the ramping up may be what happened. I'm hoping it's possible that the coronary calcium scan results will show a slight decrease in a year, or maybe even a big decrease, if possible.

If I am really depleted due to working outside in the heat, I might eat some watermelon (potassium).
Look for these names, on YT.
Dr. Eric Berg
Dr. Sten Ekberg
Dr. Shawn Baker
Dr. Ken Berry
Kelly Hogan
Steak and Butter Gal
Mikalia Peterson (Jordan's daughter)
If I had to start somewhere, I'd suggest starting with either Eric Berg or Ken Berry. But they are all excellent.
Dr Eric Westman @ Duke University is a great one to check out too.. Dr Cywest is a good one to look up too.
Will do so. Thank you.
