It's a classic states rights case. I've always been of the mindset that the constitution is very clear that powers not delegated to the federal government go to the states or the people. The federal government should not allow states to be sued based on a law not agreed upon by the states. The case was teetering on a rights act passed in 1994, which the states did not agree to when the constitution was rarified. In my opinion, the states shouldn't be sued by an individual based on a federal law.
