Did you ever watch the TV series called Top of the Lake? It was filmed in New Zealand. I've never been to that part of the planet. But in the show, the scenery was spectacular and other-worldly. I had no idea. So, besides being far from the Nuclear Blast Zone, it does seem to be a potential great place with untapped resources and lots of pristine available land.
Someone should compile a list of celebs and politicians who have purchased land and homes there for after the apocalypse. I think it would be very interesting to know who is in 'The Club'.
Never saw it. For this comment I picked NZ arbitrarily. But I've also heard that it's beautiful, and also that it doesn't extradite (I'm less sure about that part).
Interesting that you picked it arbitrarily. NZ has been 'mentioned' in news and celebrity articles for several years as a place that elite celebrities go to for vacations and also to purchase various tracts of land, farms and water rights for 'future uses'.

I think lord of the Rings and the Hobbit were filmed in New Zealand. The scenery was spectacular in those movies as well
