Watching the late, great state of California commit slow motion suicide is fascinating but horrifying to witness. History will not be kind to these idiots.
Yes, piss the truckers off, should end well..............shut um down boys and girls, and I don't mean your trucks
“Gasoline has been poured on the fire that is our ongoing supply chain crisis,” the organization said. “In addition to the direct impact on California’s 70,000 owner-operators who have seven days to cease long-standing independent businesses, the impact of taking tens of thousands of truck drivers off the road will have devastating repercussions on an already fragile supply chain, increasing costs and worsening runaway inflation.”
These sick bastards could care less about workers. Can you say green energy and Teamster grift? Since the Teamsters play a large role in organizing this section of labor, they can already hear the millions of dollars from union dues pouring into their dwindling coffers. Green energy will force companies to buy new trucks to comply with the standards. None of it is going to help the truck drivers in the end, but it will make political allies wealthier.
There's probably only a couple trucking companies that will be able to immediately comply.
It may be a measure to crush the smaller and independent companies so that these couple trucking companies can grow exponentially.
I wonder what stock Nancy's going to buy?
Going to be a lot more expensive from CA AB5
This will also affect out of state companies that go into CA if they lease trucks and drivers
AB5 has already affected many people who were independent contractors for a variety of services. Most have already moved out, or become LLCs to continue working. The cost to become an LLC is $500 payable to the CA State Board of Equalization. How nice.
Get out of CA while you can.
Boycott California when?
This sounds a lot like ir35 in the Uk
