Been happening to farmers in South Africa for a few years now...if they're lucky to not have gotten outright murdered in their own houses by roving mobs of joggers.

Rhodesia used to be the bread basket of Africa, and one of the richest, until they did the same thing to their farmers. It is now known as Zimbabwe, and one of the poorest nations on Earth and have to import the majority of goods to stay alive.
