If you cannot do the time, don't do the crime. She made a mistake and is not taking responsibility for her actions. No one but her put the cannibis oil in her luggage. Why is she crying to an American newpaper for Biden to release her? Guess she cannot come up with an original idea on how to get out of prison. Oh well, as a good liberal she should not complain to the President of the United States to keep her out of a ten year sentence, instead she should have not placed the oil in her luggage. And I bet if she were released to American custody, she would say mean and hateful BLM phrases to the country which she was born in. Liberal first and always, which means she does not accept responsibility for her actions nor is this "strong black woman" proud enough to spend ten years in a Russian prison. Typical liberalism at its finest. She needs to be begging Putin for a pardon, not Biden.
If Trump were President sheโd be home now.
You may not like her, Iโm no fan, but she doesnโt deserve to rot in a russian jail for 10 years for what she did.
Have some humanity.
Like I said, Trump would have made sure she was back by now.
He should have known better after having visited many countries in his lifetime and knowing that different countries have different laws regarding the use of drugs. Went to college did ya? Did you major in gender studies or something of use?
Eh I disagree with you.
No one should be in jail for 10 years for doing what she did.
Again, have some humanity or you sound like the evil people you claim to be against.
When you are a guest in another country, you obey their rules. When you leave the USA, you leave our laws and our way of life behind.
Russia doesn't care whether you're a common person or a superstar. And you, as a guest, don't get to decide whether Russia's laws are fair or not. They are what they are and you travel at your own risk.
Everyone with half of a brain knows that some countries have draconian drug laws. You find out what they are before you enter their country, not after.
Do stupid things, win stupid prizes.
Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the length of the sentence either, but he went to another country and disrespected their laws, not ours. I used to watch "Locked Up Abroad" frequently, and the people who were locked up were violators of another country's drug laws, and those penalties are way worse that penalties in the US. The moral of the story is, "Don't violate the laws of a country you are visiting."
