You might find its nothing, but the Aussies who got executed in Indonesia/Singapore etc beg to differ.
However, given the timing, I am pretty sure there is more to this story.
I won't be surprised if there is more to the story but you can't compare a smuggling bust of pounds worth of hard drugs to a personal amount of weed resulting in possession.
My point is that cruel and unusual punishment is a human rights violation and I'm not going to actively cheer somebody's being violated because I don't agree with their politics.
10 years for a gram or so is just absurd regardless of what the local laws are.
People spend 20 years in Indonesian prisons for possession. But you can bribe your way out there if done early in the process.
This is the slippery slope left found themselves on until they threw away the constitution!
Aussies are executed in Indonesia for possessing a little bit of weed? WOW!!! Got some examples so I can look into that? Thanks. This is mind blowing.
I cannot find any news that actually says how many hashish cartridges were found in Griner's luggage, but Shapelle Corby was caught with Cannibas in her luggage that she claimed she had no idea someone put in there. She was sentenced to 20 years.
The executions happen routinely, mostly for heroine, like this one in 2015
