Lot of stuff in this series, putting certain ideas and notions fresh in peoples minds(like how lies are spun as truth and truth is spun as lies...).
edit: followed in the very next scene with a drawing of a chemical molecule, same black on white graphic as often seen drawn of the adrenochrome molecule.
confirmation bias swings both ways...............................
I completely missed that. I'll have to show it to my son, becaise he and I have a working theory that this show is being used to softly disclose what really goes on in the world, outside of the deranged superhero stuff. The critique on humanity and the reality of corporate/govt corruption and malfeasance in this show suggests this to be the case.
There are other shows doing this as well(Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is so completely saturated with it that you notice something new every time you watch the series, there is even things in the background like posters and what not that will make you go hmmm)
I have also noticed a escalation over the last years and months in how overtly certain things are said in series(mass market, greater audience than movies so more of it in shows than film)
Oh crap I never caught that. I can't reccomend the show to many people cause it's so over the top gruesome and innapropriate...but they make tons of references that make me think there is some disclosure and who the hell knows...with the shit fauci did its not a far stretch to think they attempted some super hero shit.
I have heard whispers there are eye drops that can provide temporary night vision...if that could be done who knows.
I turned this off early into the second season. Felt anti American. Should I give it another try?
It is anti American, however the people doing this are following procedures and methodology laid out by other and much smarter people so while they have a 'script' as it were that they follow in regard to messages to put in for the DS and how to go about it they themselves are nowhere near as bright as the people that worked this stuff out for them.
Which means that someone smart enough and on the good side of the equation can slip in rather a lot under their radar that in their limited minds seems completely congruent with the DS agenda as they see/understand it but that in reality have an entirely different effect.
Generally DS/bad guys are crude, ham-handed and not subtle, however when you look under the crude surface they 'hide' things under, that is where you find the good stuff, it's the same technique as the DS uses, there are however certain good 'groupings' that are A LOT better at it than they are....
Sorry, but have no clue what's being referred to here. Think everyone on this board knows what Adrenachrome is but the context in which it is referenced is lost on me. Not trying to be a downer just want some help understanding. Thank you.
It is putting the images and notions in peoples heads, anything you are exposed to will seem familiar when you see it again and repeat exposure amplifies this effect.
DS have been using this same technique for their means, things such as emotional displays/behavior and child-like psychology being presented over and over again in entertainment until they basically become the accepted 'normal' due to familiarity through repeated exposure (someone from the 80's seeing people displaying the kind of emotional behavior and psychology that is seen today and is deemed 'normal' would have them look at them like they were mental patients)
However the very same technique can be used by the good guys, so that when things become public and exposed, people will find them easier to digest because they involve notions and images that their brains have been exposed to previously and that are some what familiar.
The 'cold-pitch' is rarely used in sales because it is so unlikely to be successful, telling people the truth and getting them to accept it would be even worse, however if they have already been eased into it through previous exposure, it becomes a pill that is much easier to swallow, much like selling people something through referencing something they already know/own/use being easier than convincing them they need something they have no familiarity with.....
It's not the context, it's the notions, images being presented to create a sense of familiarity with them for when they become real...
I think it some show for tv watchers
The text in the red banner... Next: Does Starlight Drink Adrenochrome
Thank-you for pointing that out. Makes a lot more sense.
The writers also made it to where Homelander, who's an absolute unhinged psychopath, was accusing Starlight of human trafficking and people at the rallies were lapping it up. The parallel they were trying to make was very clearly Trump. It was an obvious dig on the Q movement.
From what I can see, they make fun of both sides, though.
I just found this show and started watching. Upside down pyramid with 17 inside. All of the “good guys” supposedly being “bad guys”; fucking projection.
Anyway, I’ve only watched the first episode. My wife, who is asleep, likes the show.
