Now thats a woman.
still have to register your name address and specific gun though, that isn't 2A.
True, but she doesn't have the authority to issue an executive order to eliminate the permits. If the SD state legislature would pass I bill to eliminate them I would be shocked if she wouldn't sign it into law.
I think she's based, but then again I don't give anyone total blind faith.
South Dakota is a Constitutional Carry state (No permit required to carry). However they still issue carry permits which are recognized in some other states. Also, like in many other states that have Constitutional Carry, having a permit can speed up the buying process for firearms.
Edit: Link to more information regarding SD Gun Laws from USCCA.
Thanks for the explanation.
I think that the term you are referring is called reciprocity.
Yep thanks. I had posted this one first and a few moments later I replied to some one else further down using that term.
Didn't know that for SD, that sucks.
You can CC without a permit anywhere in the country if you have a spine.
She spent the past year forcing trannies into girls' sports (not even most democrats support that), then whining about "conservative cancel culture" when called on it.
She's another Brian Kemp. Total garbage.
Agreed.
She also ignored the will of the people who voted for recreational MJ in SD.
Damn straight.
keep watch for the next false-flag fbi-coordinated shooting there in the upcoming weeks....
If you have to ask your government for permission to exercise a right, then it's not a right.
South Dakota still issues permits for those that want them. They are usefull for people who live/work/visit in certain other states (reciprocity) and can speed up/simplify the firearms purchasing process in South Dakota.
A fee to exercise a constitutionally protected right is fundamentally illegal.
I already carry concealed anywhere i want.
kek
Imagine celebrating this instead of railing against unconstitutional permits existing in the first place.
Now do constitutional carry. I want the same rights and freedoms as criminals.
SD is already Constitutional Carry
Then how/why did they have fees for CCW permits? Government makes no sense.
Constitutional Carry does not mean all permitting just vanishes automatically. In some States, permits are still sought after for a variety of things such as reciprocity, faster gun buying process, job requirements.
Fees for a CCW are common in all states ranging from $10 - $100 and more. Fingerprinting, if required, fees are usually not included. South Dakota had one of the lowest CCW fees at $10 (with a renew at every 4 years) prior to this new Bill.
Constitutionally speaking, if you don't have the money to apply for a gun, then your rights are being infringed upon. So what she's doing is correct according to the Constitution.
