Carry tablets of Calcium Hypochlorite to disinfect water while abroad, or iodine tablets, or drink their water and get sick for two weeks, and then you can drink it without getting sick anymore.
Go to Amazon.com and look for the Big Berky Filters, just the replacement filters.
You will find some very good knock-off products, likely from the same manufacturer of those filters... but at 1/3rd the price.
Now, it's not difficult to use two 5-gallon food grade plastic buckets with lids, a little plastic hose and nozzle to make your own equivalent Berky system using those filters. In fact, since you're going low price, you can make an improved system.
In my opinion, if you're going to go through the labor of making one, then spend a little more time and make two systems. Get extra filters while they are available cheap. If anything ever happens to one system, you have a full backup... or even can trade one for weapons and ammo.
Hold up there partner, the knock off filters are not the same and I would suggest not using them. I have the original Berkeys and these (yes I fell for it once) which are not the same quality they have a glued on top black cap on the black filters your originals are all one piece of filter. I decided it was not worth it and didn’t use them if there’s an emergency maybe. Also you can find the originals for a lower cost Natural News had them for awhile you might check see if Mike got more in.
How do we know that isn't the answer to why humans are on Earth?
Maybe the Earth wanted Perfluoroalkyls and Polyfluoroalkyls... but had no way of making them for itself. That might answer the entire mystery of why we are here.
If we stop producing and disposing of PFAS into nature... the Earth may be sad and no longer have a use for us. :>(
