They sure are :) I like your "clean up the planet plan"!
Nice! I got on the “clean up the planet plan” about 2 years ago. Also, I’m doing time restricted feeding16:8 daily. Dropped 70 lbs and I don’t get sick anymore. I’m helping get anyone I can around me to join in the plan too!
Can we survive (and actually thrive) on plants only? Watch this trailer for starters:

Soooo many things we need to relearn about how to be healthy and well!
Daniel 1:8 But Daniel [i]made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself. I think I need to try this. The trailer is very intriguing. I am 53 female and about 40-ish pounds over weight. I am tired of this sluggish, weak body. I feel Im not supposed to be this way.
Great verse/chapter in the Old Testament! The actual documentary (associated with the trailer) is about 1.5 hours long. Great watch! Highly recommended! I think you can find it (the documentary) on you tube. Should be able to find it on Netflix if you have it.
The book, “How Not To Die” by Michael Greger, MD is a good one. Lots of other good stuff out there.
Wishing you good will in regaining your strength! It can sometimes be a lonely walk (hopefully helpful tip…get a few others around you to join in too —- it may take a while but it helps strengthen your resolve to stay with it).
Thank you my fren!!!
I have known friends on the Daniel Diet. They lost weight, but eventually went back to eating like normal. Spiritually, I think Daniel ate the way he did, because not eating meat was the best way to ensure he wasn't eating food sacrificed to other gods, and that they were not getting cloven hoof animals.
My main ailment I suffered from was calf and inner thigh cramps. I saw several different doctors, tried homeopathy doctor, every supplement people suggested. I would sometimes put a leg cast on at night; so, I could get some sleep while cramping. I added eggs and meat, and the cramps went away. - btw, I did a lot of research about plant based protein. I ate a lot of peas, quinoa, nuts, a d a varied died of greens, while making sure to eat all of my colors. Grains / breads started bringing the weight back. Keto (but again no flour no sugar - no soda and no artificial sugars) has me turning the corner to weight loss again. I recently started Intermittent fasting, which seems to have a great impact as well.
I agree that plant based is pretty healthy. I do worry about Niacin, B12, and K2. I wonder if Keto, and plant based both benefit from No flour No sugar. I went totally Vegan for 8 years. I continued losing weight until I added grains (hindsight looking back).
