If that doesn’t tell you to keep your kids off social media, gay TV shows & shelter them I don’t know what will! The agenda has been pushed on TV for over a decade.
We did keep our ASD kid off social media but their best friend in high school was basically grooming them. We had no idea at the time, nothing appeared untoward. The key comment that Chloe made for me was when she alluded to the social media posters getting a lot of attention and friends. Our ASD kid had been socially ostracized throughout elementary and middle school and when they announced they were trans they became a cause celebre in school. All the kids wanted to virtue signal “aren’t we cool with a trans friend?”. The girls played with flirting with them as they were “safe” cos they didn’t have a dick. This was kids from their school and others. It was intoxicating to a high functioning autistic kid who goes from no friends to one friend to a whole posse. Then when exams kicked in and everyone got preoccupied with their own shit, the novelty wore off and they were dropped like a stone again.
That’s awful! I can’t imagine what your child and family has been through. We can do everything in our power to protect our kids and sometimes that’s not enough. Kids can be cruel! Especially those in a click culture.
Peer pressure is much different now than it was when I was growing up, 70s.
Thank you fren. It’s been hairy at times but I try to keep faith that we are not sent more than we can handle. Our daughter is working with a therapist and while they are still processing trans BS verbally, we are seeing small bits of light breaking through in their behaviour. I’m so grateful that they have chosen to stay away from hormonal medication or surgery (hopefully it stays that way) and that they seem to be seeing the insanity of the left more and more for what it is
