Not only have they raised prices from a $1 to $1.25 they have also added items up to $5. I don’t even consider it the Dollar Tree anymore, it’s not the same, getting more like a Dollar General. The manger said “it’s wonderful and about time for the price change”, I said “no it’s not, I liked it the way it was, it’s been like that since the stores open and why people still shop here.”
I learned a lesson about these dollar stores. I bought some spray starch at a Dollar Tree several years back, thought I got a great deal, until I saw the same bottle at Target for .59 cents.
Moral of the story is make sure to know the price of something somewhere else before spending $1 at a dollar store.
A 25% increase in prices at a particular store doesn't equate to 25% inflation rate. It could mean that the currency has inflated 25% since they last set their prices -- but that's also not likely, as inflation is only one consideration of many for setting prices.
Keep in mind: the actual inflation rate is always about double the official number.
More. Dollar Tree raised prices from $1.00 to $1.25. Real inflation is closer to 25%-30%.

Yep we just went to a Dollar General and what we bought were 5 bucks.
But does that account for the increase gas/shipping costs as well?
It's not inflation when they do everything possible to raise gas prices, for sure
